A few weeks ago Jon Acuff posted a message to his blog asking for adventures. He said the post would be live for only 24 hours. He asked for people to sign up for a 24-day adventure without giving any details of said adventure. No questions asked. Just email yes or no.
The uncertainty of the post almost deterred me, but I accepted the challenge.
That post launched what Jon has dubbed “The Start Experiment”. Over just a few short days it has grown into a bustling online community of 2607 people. 2607 people that are willing to try something new.
The premise of the experiment is that fear hates community. We will all be placed into groups of 24, and everyone will have an accountability partner. Before we begin the 24 days, we must all choose to risk something. It can be anything, large or small; but it has to be something that would stretch us towards achieving our goals.
So what am I risking? My goal for these 24 days is to find my voice as a blogger. I’m a total newbie when it comes to blogging/writing, and sometimes I feel that I am writing a book report more than just sharing my life experiences. To help me, I have decided to take my blogging from 1 day a week to 3 days a week.
I am choosing to start something that I know will only improve my writing, but I would not have done so without the prodding of this 24 day challenge.
What can you choose to change in the next 24 days?
